Hacienda Pozo Azul is a family business with national capital. The owners, the Quintana Family, have extensive corporate experience, and have been horse breeders for several generations. In 2003, they began operations as tourist entrepreneurs.
It offers the tourist market an adventure center, with activities such as horseback riding with specialized guides and excellent horses, guided hikes and trails alongside a variety of fauna, flora, rivers and beautiful waterfalls. Also, the Canopy tour with a route of 9 cables and 12 different platforms, which ends with a spectacular cable of 325 meters on the Sarapiquí River, in addition to Rafting in class II, III and IV and the Safari tour in class I and II, where you can admire the rich and exuberant fauna of Sarapiquí. In addition to the Rappel tour which is done in a canyon on the river.
Hacienda Pozo Azul is a company certified by the Costa Rican Institute of Tourism and all the adventures have authorized and highly experienced guides, always with a top quality equipment.
The Pozo Azul restaurant is renowned for the quality of its dishes, the impressive view of the Sarapiquí River and the cozy atmosphere produced by its unique architecture based exclusively on the Hacienda’s reforestation woods. During the visit you can visit the beautiful gardens of heliconias, paths of beautiful jungle along the river and the Butterfly Garden, where many of the varieties of these magical insects are reproduced for your admiration and learning. In the same way the site offers two alternatives of accommodation: the Tent Suites and Magsasay Jungle Lodge.
